Abstract

Halal tourism merupakan potensi industri yang sedang berkembang di dunia. Adanya antusiasme wisatawan yang meningkat hampir 100% pada tahun 2023 menjadikan Kota Surakarta menjadi destinasi favorit. Pilot project wisata kuliner halal di Kota Surakarta menjadi awal untuk mendorong destinasi wisata halal, sehingga perlu ada identifikasi potensi destinasi halal di Kota Surakarta untuk mendukung halal tourism. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui potensi halal tourism yang ada di Kota Surakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi lapangan dan pendekatan deskripsi-kualitatif. dapat disimpulkan Kota Surakarta memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan halal tourism. Dari perspektif supply chain management ketersediaan objek wisata, penginapan, resto/rumah makan dan toko oleh-oleh dan souvenir telah dapat dikategorikan sebagai ramah muslim. Bagi para pemangku kebijakan dapat mengambil peluang dari dampak positif yang ditimbulkan, serta perlu untuk melakukan tindakan preventif untuk mengakomodir dampak negatif yang mungkin akan terjadi akibat dari kegiatan wisatawan.
